Tandem Axles Are an Option for 270 and 350 Gallon Rigs
Single axle spray rigs have been the standard configuration for AST rigs for decades, so a lot of contractors are unaware that we now offer a tandem axle option for our 270 and 350 gallon rigs.
Why a tandem axle?
Handling on the Highway
Tandem axle trailers have better handling characteristics at highway speeds. If you frequently travel long distances with your spray rig, a tandem axle trailer may benefit you.
Rough Terrain
Tandem axle trailers handle rough terrain at job sites better. Having four wheels helps lessen the effect of potholes and bumps in the road, making for a smoother towing experience.
Appearance
We like our trucks and motorcycles and cars to look as cool as possible. Our spray rigs are no different. The tandem axle adds some toughness and ruggedness to your rig that just looks awesome.
Keep the tandem axle option in mind if you are considering a 270 or 350 gallon trailer-mounted rig. The upgrade has some advantages that may benefit you greatly!
